Work plan EAN-SEABUCK
Workpackage 1: Definition of support requirements and identification of Best Available Technologies (BAT)
The basis for a European-Asian Network for the joint sustainable utilisation of Sea Buckthorn will be established by
- identifying relevant actors in the targeted Asian countries (producer and consumer market) and Europe (equipment supplier, customer (food industry) and consumer market) to set up the EAN-SEABUCK network,
- assessing the current situation, identification of gaps and needs in the respective countries and the potential of sustainable utilisation of Sea Buckthorn offers for Europe,
Workpackage 2: Development of training modules
Five different training modules will be developed, focused on the improvement of the joint sustainable utilisation of Sea Buckthorn. The will be created by specialised work groups for different fields of activity. The content of the modules are derived from the results of WP 1.
Workpackage 3: Implementation of pilot training
Comprise the implementation of pilot training with the under WP 2 developed training modules to enable their optimisation prior to the implementation with the final target audience (e.g. farmers, processors etc.)
Workpackage 4: Implementation of model training and workshops
The under workpackage 3 optimised training modules will be implemented with the final target audience.
Workpackage 5: Dissemination activities and information campaign of the EAN-SEABUCK project
The objective of this workpackage is to make a broad interested public familiar with the objective and opportunities the anticipated European-Asian network offers.
This workpackage lasts all along the project and includes the detailed development and fulfilling of the exploitation and dissemination strategy. The dissemination of the EAN-SEABUCK results is performed via a multilingual project flyer and the edition of a Sea Buckthorn manual consisting of five different booklets. The project web-site as well as the partners own web-site is an additional tool for dissemination.

Workpackage 6: Coordination of research activities
The aim of this workpackage is to do a review on the current status of research among the targeted countries, to exchange expertise and to formulate joint strategies for the future.
Workpackage 7: Project management
This workpackage ensures effective project management and coordination over the entire project duration. This includes, amongst others, the development of a monitoring and communication strategy and to develop the Plan for using and disseminating the knowledge
